 Submersible Exploration Vehicle

Technology 1

  • Atlantis is a multipurpose craft . It  can be used for leisure, tourism, search and rescue , research and military. It’s the result of years of planning by the iNova partnership.

  • Atlantis allows transportation of passengers for long distances both over and under the water surface in a safe, dry,  1 atmosphere pressurized enclosed environment which is also comfortable and user friendly.

  • Atlantis is a totally green energy propulsion craft. It is powered by two electric 30kw engines made for marine use fed by latest generation ion-lythium batteries and attached to custom built underwater hydro-jet units (first time applied to underwater travel).

General Description:

  • Atlantis is a futuristic fun vehicle. It is compact in size yet comfortable inside. Thanks to its size and weight, it can be easily transported on a boat trailer and can be lifted and housed in a yacht’s garage. Atlantis is also totally independent and can be launched from any port or dock.

Technology 2

Characteristics:

  • The present project can transport 4 passengers (larger units for more passengers can be developed on this technology).

  • A wide canopy offers great visibility to the passengers.

  • Atlantis can travel on the surface in hydrofoil mode. The craft will rise on the water thanks to a front ski and back wings that reduce drag and lift the craft out of the water. During underwater travel mode, the front ski will retract against the hull reducing underwater drag.

  • On board instrumentation includes: cabin pressure gauge, CO2 level reader with alarm and scrubber unit, cabin temperature control, air conditioning, over and under water speed controls, altimeter, artificial horizon, 3D eco-sonar, GPS, on board communication, E.P.I.R.B. , Hydrophone.

  • All controls will be visible on digital monitors with wi-fi and iPad connection.

  • Steering provided by aeronautical electronic cloche with finger controls connected to actuators controlling fins and flaps.

  • Halogen deep water lights and led frontward lights.

  • Led cabin lights

  • Red led tail lights

Technology 3

Safety features:

  • Atlantis has a double hull system. The cockpit is an independent waterproof sealed survival capsule.  The breathable air unit is provided by   “Like a Fish Tech.” patented technology.  This new patented gill system allows to  extract breathable air directly from the water during travel giving virtually unlimited air supply.

  • The cockpit is equipped with a CO2 scrubber unit and alarms. The seats are racing seats with 5 point harness made by Sparco. Each seat is equipped with an emergency Spare Air bib and a mask.

  • The Alarm system features intelligent pressure reading that in case of danger will automatically override the manual flight system and resurface the craft. The craft will release an electronic signaling buoy  E.P.I.R.B. that signals position for rescue connected to an automatic recovery coil. The craft is set to dive up to 40 meters (touristic depth range).

  • Atlantis inner hull is made of light, resistant carbon fiber while the outer hull is in composite material making it more elastic and resistant to shocks.

  • The ballast tanks are inflatable and can be quickly emptied by pumps and filled with air.

  • A 1 atm pressurized cockpit allows for fast resurfacing in total safety without having to depressurize.

Technology 4

Leisure equipment:

  • Go Pro external and internal underwater housed cameras

  • On board iPad unit

  • Hi- Fi stereo system connected o hydrophones allowing to listen to whales and dolphins

  • Underwater Halogen spot lights

  • Automotive style back trunk to transport food, and outdoor equipment.

  • Inbuilt refrigerator

  • 3D eco-sonar  that enables a visual of the sea floor to trace and pinpoint shipwrecks

  • Other options can be customized
